Description: Lecture, three hours; laboratory, three hours. Enforced requisites: courses 52, 101A, 185. Limited to Film and Television majors. Introduction to principles and tools of lighting used in visual storytelling through lectures, discussions, and screenings. Creative lighting techniques covering topics such as people, environment, spatial relationships, movement, color, special effects, and continuity. Letter grading.
