Description: Lecture, three hours. Taught in French. Through plays of 20th century, analysis of struggles of individuals and social groups in contexts that are historical, political, philosophical (existentialism, absurd), and cultural (colonialism and conformism). P/NP or letter grading.

Madame Dufresne is an amazing professor. I learned so much about French theater in her class. What I loved about her teaching style was that she never scolded you if you mispronounced something if you were trying to express an idea. Rather she always helped you complete your thought and ALWAYS engaged the students in class discussion. We studied existentialism mostly and it was very interesting to read these amazing pieces in French. Take her if you can!!

This is the worst Professor I have taken in my whole life!!! So arrogant, I can't believe that thing, I rather call it a thing instead of a Professor. She made 2 students cry, man I can't believe how dare she could just do that, I am a native speaker and got my bachelor from France with Honors and she gave me an A-. That thing got to leave the UC system she's just a virus!!!!
