Fall 2023 - This class was only tangentially related to French Culture. It was almost exclusively about Critical Theory, which this professor specializes in, and its application to the analysis of French ghettos. The readings were dense but getting decent grades was not very difficult if you try. Still, I feel like I was hoodwinked into taking a class that I didn’t sign up for. If you want to take an elective with a medium amount of writing and 2/5 difficulty, taking this elective with this professor could be appropriate for you. If you are looking for an elective that feels informative or useful, this is probably not right for you.
