Description: Seminar, three hours. Requisite: satisfaction of Entry-Level Writing requirement. Freshmen/sophomores preferred. Development of techniques of literary and film analysis to interrogate ways in which writers and filmmakers remember violent historical events. These events include Holocaust, indentured servitude in Mauritius, and Rwandan genocide. Letter grading.
