Spring 2016 - This is a fantastic class! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in Sex and Gender. The topics in the class range from differences between sex in the workplace, to benevolent sexism, to transphobia, it's an extremely interesting range. Kim has slides that she does not post online, but you will have more than enough time to write everything down. We watch videos in class and have guest speakers, which are pretty interesting. You must read two novels: Becoming Nicole, and one of two other novels (you choose). We do a Twitter assignment, where you tweet about Gender news 2 times a week. There is a midterm and a final. Midterm consists of lecture material, textbook material, and questions from Becoming Nicole. Final: Lecture material and textbook. You can get the textbook online for free. The only thing that I didn't like is that everything from the book is fare game. And its a lot of material, but the tests are multiple choice, so you should do just fine. Take this class!!!
