Environmental Modeling

Description: Lecture, one hour; laboratory, two hours. Presentation of basic concepts related to computer modeling of biogeochemical cycles, geomorphic processes, and other phenomena relevant to changing Earth and its inhabitants. Laboratory exercises include building basic computer models and working with existing models. P/NP or letter grading.

Spring 2016 - Excellent class. Professor Cavanaugh cares very deeply about the environment and that comes through in the class material. Very helpful and always willing to give advice to students in regards to future academics.

Excellent lecturer; really pulls you in. Definitely take 166 with him. He can be hard to find at office hours, though.
