Applied Geospatial Data Science

Description: Lecture, two hours; laboratory, two hours. Project-based exploration of essential methods and techniques in geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial technology with focus on modeling, spatial analysis and geoprocessing, spatial data manipulation, geocomputation, and data visualization. Students apply advanced geospatial analysis and data visualization methods to addressing real-world problems and answering geographic research questions. Topics include research design, automation, and multi-step geospatial analysis methodology. Letter grading.
