Examination of historical imagination as it is expressed in such writers as William Faulkner, Allen Tate, Flannery O'Connor, Richard Wright, and Zora Neale Hurston; in Civil War and WPA/FSA photography; and in Southern rhetoric and political documentary. Satisfies Writing II requirement. Letter grading.
