Description: Seminar, one hour. Nucleic acid nanotechnology allows engineers and scientists to utilize chemistry derived from nature (that of RNA and DNA) to build intricate and useful devices and nanostructures. Overview of exciting field of nucleic acid nanotechnology. Topics include foundational principles in biochemistry and molecular biology, self-assembly and design of nanostructures, applications in molecular computing, ethical considerations, and contemporary and relevant related technologies.
