Introduction to Amharic, Semitic language that is official language of Ethiopia. Coverage of basic Amharic grammar, with equal emphasis on reading, writing, conversation, and comprehension. P/NP or letter grading.

Fall 2020 - Great class! I took the entire series for three consecutive quarters. Quite a bit of writing, as expected in a language class. The tradition script is difficult to learn. But Professor Abraham really works with you.
