Intermediate Modern Japanese
Description: Lecture, five hours. Enforced requisite: course 3 or 8 with grade of C or better or Japanese placement test. Not open to students who have learned, from whatever source, enough Japanese to qualify for more advanced courses. Designed to strengthen communicative skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Grammar reviews, vocabulary building skills, language learning skills, and sociocultural knowledge. P/NP or letter grading.

Fall 2020 - This professor is amazing. Professor Schricker is extremely helpful and very welcoming of students. The tests are a little tough, but honestly not too terrible if you go over her slides and homework. She was also extremely understanding of students and listened to feedback, which is honestly something some don't even care about. I would love to take this professor again. Professor Schricker is enthusiastic, funny, and able to teach the material fairly well.

really great teacher. she really cares about each student and if you show effort, she really appreciates it. she loves teaching and you can tell. i have learned more japanese and faster from her than any other teacher i've ever had. she gives great assignemnts and quizzes to help students learn faster. Great teacher.
