Description: Seminar, three hours. Preparation: reading knowledge of Korean. Critical reading and analysis of classical Korean poetry, including discussion of literary and cultural contexts of poetic genres. Nature of codes, conventions that make meaning possible. Review of latest Korean scholarship. May be repeated once with consent of instructor. In Progress grading (credit to be given only on completion of course 245B).
