Assumptions about work, including why some work is favored, whether those with good jobs really are better people than those without, and how this understanding of work and value came to be common sense. Unpacking of these and other assumptions about work, value, and power, with focus on low-wage workers, their communities, and their place in contemporary society. P/NP or letter grading.

Fall 2024 - Just felt like the lectures had prof. wong just having campaigns come in to recruit and get funding. I did not do a single reading and I went to 2-3 lectures but still got a 90 on the final so dont trip about that. overall was disapointed b/c i was looking forward to being with prof. wong but did not learn very much.
