Winter 2024 - Dr. Gaffney is a gem! This was the first time this class has even been offered and she takes an amazing approach to teaching science fiction through a labor studies lens. Canvas discussion questions about the readings every week that are discussed in-class, with a paper, midterm, and final that she is willing to offer a ton of help if needed.

Winter 2025 - Professor Griffey is a great professor. I took labor studies just for upper division credits and started the quarter worried I was not going to enjoy this class but I was wrong. Great professor and is very confident when he speaks and he knows what he is talking about. Homework is mainly just reading but you will write 3 essays (may vary). First 2 essays are not that bad, the last essay is 8-12 pages. Other than that, everything went smoothly this quarter. Hopefully I get to take another one of his classes in Fall 2025. Highly recommend this professor if you are just looking for upper division credits and for a chill class overall.
