Professor Shin is really funny. He makes LS1 a decent class by making seemingly boring concepts like evolution into interesting topics. He has a great sense of humor and cares for student learning. His tests aren't your typical "memorize and regurgitate" type of exams. Especially for the first exam, which is on evolution, he really tests on whether you understand the material not if you just know what the definition of evolution is. Make sure you understand the concepts and memorize the lecture slides. Otherwise his class is pretty enjoyable! I know many students complaining about his curve, which I admit isn't the greatest, but the workload during the summer is way way way less than the amount of work kids put into LS1 during the school year (especially in demos).
