Spring 2025 - Dr. Siekhaus was very compassionate and eager to assist students with questions. I appreciate how she made an effort to remember every student's name, held special office hours for students falling behind, and even opened a Google form for students to feel more comfortable participating. These aspects of the course definitely improved my learning and contributed to my success this quarter! Dr. Ko is a great instructor! I appreciated her positive attitude, and her interest in all of her students and investment in their success. She was incredibly funny and compassionate and made this course much better for me. That said, your professor doesn't really have an impact on how well you do in the class as the curriculum is pretty standardized.

Winter 2024 - Zamudio was not as good as Maloy will say. That being said 7A is a very generous class because my final grade ended up being graciously bumped up to a higher grade. With Zamudio, some of his explanations simply do not make sense but he is very kind in terms of asking questions. I never went to his office hours but I would say the CLC sessions are honestly the most helpful part of the class. The AOLs are lowkey weirdly worded and oftentimes you can have the right rationale but not completely understand how to get to the right answer. That being said, the extra credit is very gracious. Make sure to turn in every discussion assignment. A good learning pod is essential for this class. You can take the class with Zamudio but make sure Maloy is teaching alongside him.
