I thought Eskin was great. He's a pretty slow, clear lecturer, his homework assignments are reasonably long and his tests are very fair. For his exams, understand the theorems in the chapters. He likes to put proofs on the exams(as if that's a surprise). Understand the homework problems and understand the theories that you find in the book and in lecture and you'll be fine.

Winter 2021 - Professor Filipazzi is an analysis GOAT. His lectures were engaging and he covered a lot of material in class. He was always willing to answer the smallest of questions and always explained concepts in an intuitive manner in both OH and lectures. The homeworks were time-consuming and sometimes quite difficult but they test your analysis fundamentals. Professor Filipazzi is always happy to give hints in OH. The homeworks helped me prepare for the midterms and final which were on a similar level of difficulty if not less. The weekly quizzes were sometimes ruthless as they had around 10 questions and even getting one question wrong would drop 10% of the quiz grade. However, professor compensated for the difficult quizzes and homeworks by dropping 2 of the lowest for each. I gained a very good understanding of concepts such as cauchy and convergent sequences, integrability, differentiability and continuity and would take any class with professor Filipazzi. It's unfortunate that he is probably leaving at the end of the spring 2021 quarter.

Fall 2021 - Professor Forlano is a decent professor, if you are OK with getting a B/C. Cons: The curve. For my class, the avg for 2 midterms and final are 59%, 49%, 64%, and HE DOES NOT CURVE DOWN for A/A-. YOU NEED 90% TO GET AN A-! (Just to reference, 2 out of 33 people got 90%+ in final, and no one got 90% for midterm 2.) His handwriting in the lecture notes is kind of hard to understand. Pros: Very tiny workload comparing to other professor for 131A. The homework is about 10 problems but you only need to submit the ones he require, which is about 3 problems. His lectures are clear. He is very helpful. He allows cheatsheet for final which is very useful. He gives an extra homework for 7% extra credit, but the problems are hard so it is hard to get all of the 7%.(Most students got 2-5%)

Winter 2016 - AVOID. This is already a tough class and the professor makes it impossible. Unless you are seriously considering a masters in math, do not take this professor. I usually overlook comments that say how tough a professor is and I end up doing just fine. It will not be the case with this professor. A class average of 20% on a final is ridiculous.

This class in general should only be for people who like math and proofs! Do not take this class if you don't have to. As for the teacher, he is not all that bad for such a complex course as analysis. He knows his stuff, and just goes over theorems and proofs from the book. Midterms are easy, and the final is the most difficult. HW is graded heavily so do HW correctly and 60% on midterms and final can get you a B or higher depending on the class average. It is all proofs so make sure your a proof lover.!
