Spring 2025 - gg easy analysis is trivial. Nice professor. Just kidding this class was HARD Statistics Midterm: High 26/30 (87%), Median 16.5/30 (55%), Mean 16.7/30 (56%) Final: High 41.5/50 (92%), Median 26.5/50 (59%), Mean 26.8/50 (60%) (She curves a lot and she will also post these statistics and your class ranking on myUCLA.) Prof. Kim is super nice to be around, down-to-earth, and I loved having her as a professor. She's like my mom (probably not a helpful comparison), but in the sense that she'll lecture and sometimes seem frustrated when you don't get something, but if you aren't afraid to speak up, she's generally willing to explain things in different ways or ask what's wrong. Her office hours were very laissez-faire and generally were just a meeting up of students who wanted to work together, with her rarely giving some hints. Unfortunately, she also doesn't post notes, but follows Rudin fairly closely, and I also recommend supplementing with Monica Visan's 131BH notes as well. Her homework assignments were very difficult, but I enjoyed the solutions a lot. Overall, really hard class, but make some friends and it can be a lot of fun and feel very rewarding.
