Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Requisites: courses 32B, 33B. Introduction to basic formulas and calculation procedures of complex analysis of one variable relevant to applications. Topics include Cauchy/Riemann equations, Cauchy integral formula, power series expansion, contour integrals, residue calculus.

funny guy, makes jokes every now and then, its a bit hard to understand him, and he can be intimidating in his office hours, and his notes are almost exactly like whats in the book, basically its sort of on your own. all of that aside though, he is a very very reasonable grader and a very kind man. would not recommend him for lower divs, i took him for an upper div course, i would actually think hed do best teaching a graduate course (207) which is his field of interest. every now and then he would mention things about number theory in our complex class.
