EXCELLENT TEACHER. I am very satisfied with this class and how she taught it. Highly recommend her for Math 33B (I also heard she's consistently great with other classes she teaches). The class was really enjoyable, the balance between lectures and her stories about Italy. Tests are straightforward with one or 2 hard questions (theory based). Those questions are hard but fair :D

He is a fairly good lecturer and goes over all the concepts you need to know. Doesn't waste a lot of time with proofs and hw is pretty easy. Both midterms were fair, though the final was very difficult. Grading scheme was 5% hw, 20% ea midterm and 55% final with no exceptions, so make sure not to bomb or miss any of the tests.

MATH 33B Professor Aliki is probably the best math professor I've ever had! She is fun, has a solid understanding of math, grades very fairly, and cares about her students. She uploads notes, practice problems, and homework solutions to CCLE every week, and has many office hours. I personally did not do well in her class, but I still strongly recommend her. Take Aliki's classes!

For 170A: Very good professor. Professor. Renfrew used fixed-point cutoff to assign grades rather than typical curve policy. However, it maybe good for people who are not top students. The midterms for math 170 were pretty hard, but he ended up giving easy finals and curved up a little bit. Overall, his course is worth taking.

The class is alright because you can study on your own and get a decent grade. However, if you think you would understand his accent, you are so wrong! I tried for the longest time listening to him very carefully during lecture but didn't. Doesn't know how to use mic, horrible handwriting, etc. Not recommended!

ok this is definitely funny. I'm studying 12 hours right before the final because I did not attend the last half of his lecture (as he makes so many mistakes every time in lectures.) So everything went smoothly but i was stuck on several problems forever because no matter how many times i solved those problems, i got the completely different answer to his solution provided. I was feeling hopeless about the exam, as well as my life. So i woke up my buddy who mastered at math at midnight and i let him to check.. he went mad because there was nothing wrong with my solution!!! but guess what?! I was right all the way, his solutions were wrong... I'm speechless and feeling more stupid right now... Professor Taylor is a nice, hardworking, easy going and handsome guy. but his problem of committing too many mistakes in lectures and solutions are definitely making the course harder to learn... Although i hope he'll miss some mistakes i make when grading my exams.

David teaches in a very natural manner that makes it easy to approach the material. Instead of copying a bunch of formulas onto the board, he derives formulas to solve general equations and shows you how other questions are really just variations of a few key equations. He is very welcoming of questions during class. He has interesting anecdotes and a consistently upbeat demeanor.
