Description: (Same as Public Health M160A.) Lecture, four hours; possible field observations. First in series of courses to explore prevention of disease in at-risk populations, clinical services and referrals for disadvantaged, and effects of low socioeconomic status on academic achievement, career, and family. Lectures by faculty and practitioners, with field visits. P/NP or letter grading.
