Winter 2025 - Amazing class, phenomenal professor, complex but interesting content, challenging exams. Professor Boss is probably the most caring college instructor I've ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable, always willing to help, and really seems to enjoy teaching. It is definitely doable to get an A (I took the class P/NP but would've gotten an A as a letter grade), but you need to put in time and effort. There was only one small casing assignment while the rest of the grade was entirely dependent on exams (both MC and short answer). If you aren't familiar with law, the jargon at first can seem pretty confusing, but the professor does a great job explaining everything and helping you "get used" to legal terms over time. Everything you needed to know to do well in class was from lecture, and the learning assistants even took notes, which the Professor later edited. However, expect to know everything from lecture in granular detail for the exams. I suspect she knows they're challenging, as she offers a few extra credit points on each of them. Don't be scared to take this class! It's super fascinating and teaches you stuff that's super important for both law and business.

I have never met anyone who does not like Gonzalo Freixes and I probably never will. Simply put, he is a great teacher; one of the best I've ever had. His lectures and online notes are well organized. His exams are difficult, but fair. It is a shame we do not have more professors like him at UCLA. Take any class that he is teaching, regardless of your major.

Spring 2025 - DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! For context, I am not a mgmt or bus econ major, simply just thought this would be an interesting class to take that had some decent hard skills and would provide perspective on contract law. The class was genuinely interesting & I thought the lectures were engaging. Klein has a great presence in class and is incredibly articulate. However this class went belly up. Klein is also suing UCLA, google it for more context. The class average on the mid term was 50%, we were told this would be curved to a B. I was included in this average. I had a 3.8 gpa at ucla and since I only had a couple quarters left, I figured I'd take this class. I studied my cheeks off for this final, and somehow, regardless of getting a B on the mid term, and never seeing my grade on the final (still hasn't been inputted into canvas) I see on my ucla that I received a straight up F in this class. Lectures are not recorded, and the class is impacted, so if you don't have to take the class, then don't. ESPECIALLY if you are in the same boat as me and just want to take an interesting class, DO NOT DO IT.
