Winter 2024 - I had to take this class as it is a new requirement for the music industry minor. I would not take it unless you absolutely must, or if you are in desperate need of an easy no-brainer class. I really do not enjoy leaving negative reviews for professors or classes but the direness of this situation absolutely forced me to. The professor forces you to buy his absolute garbage of an outdated book (Daniel Passman's remains a classic in the industry for good reason). And in the end gives you extra credit for leaving him a review on Amazon, telling us to "sound smart" several times in his instructions. He is so full of himself and I had to stomach his ramblings for three hours every Wednesday night. I got an A in this class so I have no complaints on my grade. I guess take it if you're a premed?
