Description: Seminar, three hours. Enforced requisite: satisfaction of Entry-Level Writing requirement. Freshmen/sophomores preferred. Aging is growing theme in current feminist writing and receives increased recognition in popular music studies. Crossing of generations of performers and audiences to examine and challenge sociohistorical contexts; consideration of ways in which these performers are valued and devalued as they push against or give into cultural stereotypes and ideas of aging appropriately. Letter grading.
