Fall 2025 - PROFESSOR DE SILVA IS THE GOAT. Seriously though if you play an instrument and/or have any minimal understanding of music theory this class is a breeze. If not, I would recommend doing an online music theory course (musictheory.net is great) prior to the class if you’re worried about getting an A. Professor De Silva is such a cool and funny guy and he made the 2 hour lectures very engaging.

Winter 2022 - Phelps is an ass. He gives you quizzes you do not understand and acts like you should know the material (maybe I would if he taught it). You learn more from the homework than him. Despite being garbage at teaching you anything he is condescending all the time and is straight up rude to students. Get out of Phelps class if you can!
