Phenomenology

Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Preparation: two philosophy courses. Introduction to phenomenological method of approaching philosophical problems via works of some of the following: Brentano, Husserl, Heidegger, Scheler, Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, Ricoeur. Topics include ontology, epistemology, and particularly philosophy of mind.
