Spring 2024 - Class was pretty good! Prof allows you to get some points back on the midterms by doing corrections, which you absolutely need to. The class kind of comes down to the final, and it was difficult. I ended with an 87 which was slightly curved to an A-. Overall, he is very engaging and remembers everyone's names (forcing you to participate by calling names). The homework was difficult but doable, and the midterms were straightforward. I took Chem 113A before this so the math for calculating quantum solutions actually made sense to me, and it was very helpful in understanding our results.

Fall 2025 - One of the most engaging professors I've ever taken. Lectures were extremely interesting, and he was always entertaining. I looked forward to every class. The text was provided for free, and he wrote it himself. The tests were very fair in terms of time, and upon completion of the homework packets, there were no surprises on the tests. The homework packets, however, were quite daunting in length, and though they didn't require correctness for full credit, I found myself struggling to finish them on time. However, I would take another class with Professor Samani in a heartbeat.

Winter 2023 - Do not take Zocchi. He is incredibly unclear and often goes down rabbit holes trying to prove something for 30 minutes, wasting class time when he could've just written down the proof in his notes. The material for this class is very useful, but take it with a different professor who will teach it better.
