Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Neural Integration

Description: (Same as Neuroscience M230 and Physiological Science M210.) Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour. Requisite: Neuroscience M202. Introduction to mechanisms of synaptic processing. Selected problems of current interest, including regulation and modulation of transmitter release, molecular biology and physiology of receptors, cellular basis of integration in sensory perception and learning, neural nets and oscillators, and molecular events in development and sexual differentiation. Letter grading.
