Winter 2021 - I will never take another class with Professor Lohmann. The first assignment was so difficult, half the class dropped. I attended tutoring to get help but the tutor advised I drop the course because they did not understand the assignment either. The class is based on 5 papers and you play "games." Some games are based on chance and cooperation though. How you do is not entirely in your control. The games are a grade booster and there are chances to earn "bonus points." But, the papers are incredibly difficult. Not so much the subject matter, but her grading is NITPICKY. She gives negative points if you mess up a PERIOD in a citation. KNOW HOW TO CITE LIKE A PRO or you will not get above a B on the assignments. There are no official office hours to ask for one on one help either. Just emails. Additionally, she was not accommodating to students struggling in the pandemic.
