Prof. Enders is AMAZING! He is definitely one of the best professors I have taken at UCLA. His lectures are clear, well-organized, and interesting. He uses apps for in-class participation and SPSS for data analysis, which makes things much more fun and interesting than crunching numbers by hand. I have taken another class with him after 100A and it was great as well.

Mr. Estes is a really nice man, however, he fails to teach in an understanding and effective manner. He used his own equations without letting us know they were different than the ones presented in the book. Often times, his equations were so different than the equivalent one in the book that we didn't know how the two were even related. So when it came down to study for the midterms, it was frustrating trying to play guessing games on where the terms came from for the calculations. Be prepared for long, mundane lectures full of calculations. He does lengthy calculations that take an hour and fifteen to complete (the whole lecture), but hardly discusses any of the concepts. His midterms' emphasis is on the concepts--out of forty problems, thirty to thirty-five are dealing with confusingly worded conceptual questions. It helps if you have taken stats before, so you understand what Mr. Estes is talking about even though he doesn't discuss the entire issue. His lectures are poorly organized with little or no structure, so you have to be the one to actively organize your notes. Mr. Estes is a very nice man, but he fails to communicate to fill the whole picture in--too often he leaves out important information.

This class uses R-coding to teach you statistics. I have previously taken a stats course, but I hadn't truly understood the material until I took this class. There is a lot of homework, so taking it during a summer semester can be tough (especially if you are taking 2+ courses). I would recommend taking it during a fall semester. Do the HW, it's only worth 10% of your grade however it is graded on completion not whether you got the answer right or wrong. The textbook (offered directly through CCLE) is interactive and teaches you how to write code. This is a very useful skill, you can put it on a resume:).

There are 5 quizzes and 1 final exam (took me ~3hours to complete) all of which are open note and you have the whole day to complete them. I used the textbook and my notes during the exams. Going to her lectures are optional but highly recommend it. She doesn't lecture, she helps us do the coding journals which are due at the end of the day.

All in all, I really recommend this class, it is easy if you put in the work. Just show up to lectures and do the homework and you should do well in this class!

Just talks about himself during lecture, not the material. You have to teach yourself the material and tests are hella difficult with confusing info. Professor does not care about students struggle and makes the class unnecessarily harder than other professors, does not curve, exams are very tricky with correct answers so similar to others, math heavy with lots of calculus and you can't use a scientific calculator (the ONLY professor who does not allow this), this professor will RUIN YOUR GPA!!! RUN away if you still can.

I had a class with him at 6pm, which is a weird time, but I only skipped once because I really liked the class. He is very enthusiastic about what he is doing, and he will go over things over and over if there are questions. Keep up with the homework because the material gets really confusing at the end. Other than that I thought it was a great class and he always kept us awake.
