Description: Lecture, three hours. Requisites: courses 10, 100A. Topics include origins and development of human perceptual abilities, origins of knowledge about functionally important aspects of the environment, ecological and computational issues in perception, research and theory about initial perceptual capacities, and some sensory foundations. P/NP or letter grading.
