Prof. is always available outside of class. He's a really easy going guy, didn't demand too much not even for the final paper as long as you got your point across. We didn't have any assigned readings or midterms. He really emphasized class discussion. He doesn't really lecture much. Overall good professor, but this was a seminar class.

Difficult concept. Difficult subject. Caring Professor. Open door for those who seek help. Fair testing and grading. Personally I think you shouldn't be judging the professor based on difficult subject but rather his manner of teaching. Prof. Blair has an open mind teaching style based on fair grading. I am taking a different class that he is teaching. Not because I got a good grade but because I feel like I learned something.

Winter 2024 - This was one of the most helpful classes I had the privilege of taking while I was at UCLA. Dr. Juvonen fostered an incredibly supportive environment where my peers & I felt comfortable developing our research. She taught us how to be more effective in helping each other-- we learned how to provide & receive constructive feedback & became a very tight-knit group by the end of the quarter. She also taught us how to make our research more accessible to a wider audience, from laypeople to scientific experts. Most improved were my oral presentation skills. I'm an innately nervous presenter, but over the course of this seminar, I improved my comfortability & confidence in speaking in front of others. I would take this course ten times over if I could.

Winter 2016 - I took Introduction to neurophilosophy with Dr. Levine, and it is one of my favorite classes so far. Dr. Leving tries to keep the class as fun and engaging as possible, and he seems very laid back. We had to write three medium length papers, as well as take a pop quizzes and a final exam. This was a small class and participation in the class discussions was a significant part of our grade, so if you don't enjoy talking about consciousness, self, and free will with a neuroscience spin on it, this may not be the class for you.
