Description: Lecture, three hours; outside study, nine hours. Corequisite: required social work practicum. Methods of social work policy practice and policy advocacy as problem-solving process. Analysis of consequences of existing social policies, particularly for marginalized populations, development of alternative policies, and use of different advocacy tools/techniques to gain support for policy change. S/U or letter grading.
