Fall 2022 - Andalon is a great professor and this class is a great resource to jumpstart students into their careers. We learned how to make a LinkedIn, create a Resume and Cover Letter, and at the end create a career portfolio using all of the assignments we had been doing throughout the quarter. Being able to finetune my professional documents has been a lifesaver while also getting major credit. The class fills up very quickly because it is useful and the professor does not try to ruin your GPA. I recommend attending lectures because most of the time there is a guest speaker who is a UCLA Alum and they share how they got to the position they are in today, using their Sociology degree.

Fall 2018 - I love Professor Jacobs! Extremely personable and fun to engage with! This is probably one of the most useful classes for a senior sociology undergrad. Tangible projects, resume workshops integrated into the classroom, and a chance to connect with working professionals in a wide variety of fields. 100% recommend for all sociology majors!
