Spring 2022 - This class was online when I took it, but professor Nu'Man was wonderful! He was a good lecturer, but his lectures did come straight from the textbook. He was very kind and open to criticism, and was also adamant that he really valued our insights on how to make the course as valuable as possible. Your grade is dependent mostly on two or three things which can be stressful, but they weren't grueling assignments I would say. I highly recommend this class and this professor.

Winter 2026 - Like all her classes, they follow the same structure. Everything is due at the end of the quarter, and it's up to you what assignments you want to do for the grade you want. It's based on a point-system, so if you want an A, you need to get 90 points or higher, so that means doing a couple of short essays, like 2 book reviews, film reactions, and lecture/section attendance. and its so easy and so chill. My TA Natasha was so sweet and her sections were really fun and engaging! and she's a really fair grader. I literally got a 100 on every assignment. Prof Ribet is also so nice and her voice is so soothing, she needs to do asmr lol But take this class with Prof Ribet, she's super cool and her classes are always so relaxed and fun
