What are causes and mechanisms of this process, how far has it transformed human societies, and how far will it go in future? Economic, cultural, political, and military aspects of globalization, with focus on extent to which global expansion of capitalism, nation-state system, and American imperialism reinforce or undercut each other, producing new lines of division and conflict across world.
