Elementary Spanish
Description: Lecture, three hours; laboratory, two hours. Taught in Spanish. Laboratory is online. Introductory Spanish language and culture course that is proficiency-oriented, communicative, and task-based to help develop communicative competence in four skill areas (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), as well as cultural competence. P/NP or letter grading.

Summer 2022 - I learned so much in this class. I was scared to take this, as I never did well in Spanish in high school, but he made it so much better. He seemed to help students at where they were in this language. He gave a lot of feedback which helped, and gave great suggestions on how I could improve, which I implemented in later assignments. The variety of assignment types were good, and he made us feel very comfortable for the oral exams and the oral presentation, so it helped, as he knew we were nervous. If you have to take Spanish, I would take him as an instructor. I wish he were teaching Spanish 3 this summer.
