Winter 2024 - I feel bad for not trying. Honestly, for 5 units, it's too easy. The work is super easy; there's a bit of busy work, but it all counts towards your grade and sets you up for the quizzes/final paper. I wish I put in more work since I ended up really appreciating the work Sugay and the TA's put into the students. Although this is a somewhat larger lecture, Saguy does her best to learn your name and engages with everyone. Participation doesn't really matter (esp. because there are so many students; you earn part of your grade through iClickers). 40% of your grade is made up of small assignments, which gives you a guarantee of 100% on each assignment as long as you do it. I didn't really try on the assignments, but if I did, I would've been more prepared for the quizzes. There are 3 quizzes (the lowest one is dropped), and they count as 30% of your grade. The final research paper is 30% and is only 6 papers; honestly, it was a bit challenging keeping it within 6 pages. It's a super easy paper, and I finished it within a day. There are a lot of readings, and with 5 units, it's supposed to give you time outside of class to get credit for the work you do (expecting you do 11-12 hours of studying per week). If you know how to skim read, you'll be fine. I barely read the article and still felt knowledgeable with the material. The only time you actually have to make an effort is the final research paper, but even then, if you're attending lectures it should be a breeze. I felt extremely supported by my TA (Jessica is the best TTA;I've never heard a complaint aabouthher, but I did aaboutothers). I would take this class again. It can be ttime-consuming,bbut Ialso thinkit's probably the easiest 55-unitclass or class iin general

**GE CLST 72B, NOT SOC184** I liked her. She was a very nice professor and her test questions were very clear, unlike one of the other professor's. She also was the one of the four who seemed like she genuinely cared the most about her students and always came to class with a smile and a good attitude.
