Adriana is kind and passionate. I never attend lectures and that didn't change for Classics 20, up until the midterm. When I watched over her bruincasted lectures, I found myself engrossed in Roman history, memorizing every date and figure I could, to the point where my girlfriend got mad at me for blabbering about the Republic's wars. Every interaction with her has been positive and delightful and I have enjoyed learning about Ancient Roman history so much.

You write 3 papers, have weekly quizzes which you can retake up until due, a midterm, and a final. The exams are written in blue books and are like AP essays in a way - expect to write about a certain topic. The papers are more like observations on a specific object/passage/character. Not terribly hard - and her late policy is extremely generous, with 4 free days of no-questions-asked late turn-in. This class is a high recommend.

Lecture can sometimes be boring unless you find the material interesting, which I did. Lectures are bruincasted without required attendance which is a huge plus. You will have to participate in discussion though. Not much work at all, just two short papers: 2 pages and 6 pages long. Would highly recommend this class.
