let's just say that the required text book is written by professor him/herself should always be a tail tail sign of a horrible class. normally if the professor doesn't teach jack squat, you could still read from a book, except in this case he wrote the book, which also teaches jack squat. i have multiple degrees, and this class is among the worse class that i have ever taken in my life.

to start off, his lecture is a complete waste of time. 85% of the lecture is him copying notes on the board without any meaningful explanation. he just talks what he wrote on the board, word by word. and what he write on the board is what he wrote in the book. so a great waste of anyone time.

his lecture is boring, and in a very bad way. he provides no orientation of his lecture. he doesn't show a big picture of what the material is trying to accomplish, nor does he explain how those techniques can be used anywhere. every class starts with theorems and the proof of those theorems, but WHY having those things to start with? just to sell your text book?

skip this teach at all cost.

Never take his course! You will learn nothing! He is not responsible for the test! Just use practice ones. I thought I learnt well in Matrix but I did not know he would use the same questions as his test...I got B because many students have already do the test... Never take his course I regretted to take his course!
