Professor Carnesale is terrific. Extremely learned, calm demeanor. This really is a terrific class and worth taking. I'm glad I was in there.

Dr. Carnesale is phenomenal. Really wants to engage with students and see them be successful at UCLA. He was formerly UCLA's Chancellor, and Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. From his personality though, you'd think he was just someone's nice, elderly grandpa. I've learned a lot about humility from him- perhaps that is his greatest gift of all, despite his genius intellectual capacity.

Phenomenal class. One of my favorites at UCLA. Assignments were straightforward - three or four memos in response to a prompt (students' choice). Each class session covered a different, interesting topic in detail. Midterm and final were timed memos.
