Prof. Shahat is one of the most engaged and supportive instructors I’ve had at UCLA. His class was hands-on, we got to work directly with archaeobotanical materials and got a good sense of field and lab approaches. He was also super responsive outside of class and has continued to support my academic goals long after the quarter ended. Highly recommend taking this class if you get the chance!
