I love Amy! Truly such a sweet soul who cares about her students and their mental health. Lectures were very engaging we had many guest speakers, mainly from Columbia which was very interesting to see how different the world is over there. Not too many assignments, weekly discussion posts which you can finish in like 5 min. 3 reflection papers (very easy to do) and a 1 page policy memo (also very easy to do). Overall if you need a light GE or plan on minoring/majoring in PA please take it with Amy.

Prof. Ritterbusch is so amazing. She is truly passionate about doing research and with and for communities rather than on them, and that really shined through in the way she structured this class. I personally enjoyed every lecture and felt like I had gained many insights. Prof. Ritterbusch and the teaching team in this class were overall very understanding, accommodating, and willing to help.
The class essentially consisted of a quarter-long project in we conducted out own qualitative research that composed of 2 interviews and 1 focus group. The workload was was manageable and honestly enjoyable. I truly recommend this class. Choose a research topic that you feel passionately about, engage in the lectures, and you will love it!

Professor Ritterbusch is the best professor at UCLA. I loved this class so much. You do not need to go to all the classes or do all the readings to get an A. There are a few papers but they are graded easy & if you go to class she will tell you everything she wants you to say.
I highly recommend this class. It made me want to pursue Pub Aff.
