Moudarres is so nice! His lectures were great too! Make sure to go to lecture because honestly, you can't get by if you don't. The amount of readings he assigned were crazy and I didn't do most of them lol. He gives study guides for all the quizzes (which were VERY easy, factual, multiple choice). If you have friends that help you answer the study guide you'll be fine even if you don't do all the readings. The 2 papers for this class were quite manageable and my TA was such a sweetheart and a fairly easy grader. The final was 25 multiple choice questions and 3 one page essay questions so make sure to know the material he spends a lot of time on! Also, I'm selling the course reader! Text me **********
Professor Moudarres is a great professor. Italian 42A has been my favorite class since I started UCLA. He made everything so clear and was so dedicated to Italian history. We only had 3 "quizzes" which were 50% of our grade and a final which was 50%. They were so easy if you knew the material and he also provided study guides for every quiz, which you could then use to study for the final.
