This class uses R-coding to teach you statistics. I have previously taken a stats course, but I hadn't truly understood the material until I took this class. There is a lot of homework, so taking it during a summer semester can be tough (especially if you are taking 2+ courses). I would recommend taking it during a fall semester. Do the HW, it's only worth 10% of your grade however it is graded on completion not whether you got the answer right or wrong. The textbook (offered directly through CCLE) is interactive and teaches you how to write code. This is a very useful skill, you can put it on a resume:).
There are 5 quizzes and 1 final exam (took me ~3hours to complete) all of which are open note and you have the whole day to complete them. I used the textbook and my notes during the exams. Going to her lectures are optional but highly recommend it. She doesn't lecture, she helps us do the coding journals which are due at the end of the day.
All in all, I really recommend this class, it is easy if you put in the work. Just show up to lectures and do the homework and you should do well in this class!
