I really liked this class, especially our final project. It was divided into two sections: an essay and a visual. We were able to choose our research topic, and for the visual, we made an interactive video on TikTok, with its dedicated audience being students, families, staff, and policymakers. I liked how we were able to be creative with our form of spreading our research, not only in an essay but in a community-engaged form. Overall, the class was easy, and the assignments were straightforward and easy.
I really enjoyed this course. I found many of the readings to be interesting and helpful for completing work in my other education courses. All of the assignments were manageable in my opinion and there was a lot of clarity. I felt like I could approach this professor for help if needed. Our final project was an essay and project but there was lots of flexibility and creativity was encouraged! This is a great class to explore some of your passions in education but also understand the developmental needs of many age groups! I would recommend taking a class with this professor!
(Now known as 148) Dr. Blackstock-Bernestein's class was very engaging and has a very manageable workload, I would definitely recommend this class and professor!!
