he is a great professor, I didn't think I would end up enjoying a class in Spanish as much as I did. I highly recommend Armando, very funny and intelligent. He really wants his students to learn this stuff

Professor Guerrero is by far one of my favorite lecturer in the Spanish department. He really cares about his students and if they’re learning and understanding. He is friendly and approachable. 160 was such an eye opener. 10/10 would recommend.

I was SO intimidated my first day in this class I almost dropped, but I'm so glad I didn't. If you are scared that the class will be difficult because it's fully conducted in Spanish, don't be. My professor was Madison Felman and she did a great job at communicating in understandable ways and facilitating discussion. She's always down to answer questions and if she doesn't know the answer she will actively research and get back to you. The whole class is basically just practicing speaking (which is hella important). We learn grammar and vocab from the weekly online homework (which doesn't take too long only about 30 min-1 hour per class). During class, she just asked us discussion questions to talk about in breakout groups and we watched videos/answered questions about the videos. Participation is mandatory so answering questions is the best way to get an A there. The grade breakdown is: 30% writing exams (one midterm, one final), 30% oral exams (one midterm, one final), 20% reading/listening exams (one midterm, one final), 10% homework completion, and 10% participating in class. The reading/listening exams are extremely easy, they only take like 15 minutes to complete. The writing exam definitely takes longer but is pretty straightforward. Finally, the oral exams are a bit harder because they are a 10 minute conversation with a native Spanish-speaker about a randomly assigned topic. You can prep but she def wants the conversation to flow naturally. All in all, I highly recommend if you wanna get better at Spanish!
