Fall 2025 - This cluster would definitely be one of most difficult topics, I recommend taking it as a pre-med. The first quarter is mostly about bio/medical topics, and probably the most difficult part of the cluster, but If you enjoy biology or took AP bio in high school this should be easy. The second quarter is relatively easier, only one lecture a week and less readings, it is also required to do service learning (volunteering) once a week for 7 weeks, but transportation is covered and you get experience from it which is pretty nice (especially for premeds). My service learning experience was pretty fun, and if you really enjoy it, you could possibly get internships at your site. If you’re into public health, psychology, Bio, or sociology, this cluster is definitely the right choice! I’m neither a premed or health related major, but I found this very interesting! The TA’s are really helpful and pretty chill, so don’t stress too much about discussions. I haven’t gotten to the 3rd quarter (special topics seminars), however I heard that the seminars will be really easy, and they are only 1 class a week (no discussions). Overall take this cluster only if you’re interested.

Fall 2024 - He was an engaging and good professor but MIMG 101 was a pain. I thought the material would be interesting to me considering i'm a MCDB major, but I just wasn't that into it. It was difficult but manageable. CHECK YOUR TESTS, both times I went to check my midterm they did not add up my points correctly!

Fall 2023 - Dr. Soroosh is an amazing teacher! He is super down to earth and funny, and he genuinely cares about his students. He is a great professor because he is passionate about research and the MIMG department in general. I had him for 180A and B and loved my experience. He helped me a lot with my public speaking by giving knowledgeable insight and making class a safe place to make mistakes and learn to be better. He also teaches MIMG101 and is gonna teach LS7C in the future so I highly recommend him! If you want to be his favorite, mention how much you love Coldplay or the Golden State Warriors.
