182 with Lal is rough if you're not interested in political sociology. Personally, the material was not interesting at all, and thus hard to get through.
I definitely would NOT recommend taking this class if your a soc major trying to fill one of the core requirements. but if you have to bite the bullet, it could be worse, i dont know how, but it could.

My scores:

1st paper (20%): 95%
2nd paper (20%): 87%
Participation (10%): 100%
Final Exam (50%): ??

I received an "A-."

Papers were fair. Participation - just show up. Final exam was insane. Half of it was multiple choice questions. The other half were two essay questions. I ended up writing 10+ pages non-stop in my bluebook. We had to write about all 7-8 authors and how they were related to liberty, equality... or some other abstract concepts.

Political sociology is a great class. Lal is caring, thorough, and she sums up arguments concisely.
