Quarter: Spring 2019
Grade: A
June 28, 2019

Professor Reilly is an extremely charismatic person that is knowledgeable about Southeast Asian history. His strengths lie in the postmodern period of Southeast Asia and he is rather hilarious when it comes to making pop culture references.

There's a little bit of a lack of organization but I understand that he is an incredibly busy person. Professor Reilly's lecture also gets incredibly mundane, which is perhaps showing of one of his strengths: he selects good readings that captivates you. However, there were times where I was expanded to think outside of the books, such as analyzing political cartoons and Eisenhower's speech; otherwise, it feels as if lectures were not mandatory and that all you really needed were the readings.

Overall a decent professor and this class was one of the best, enlightening classes I've taken at UCLA
